                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 403 NORTH
                   HAWTHORNE STREET, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST LINE
                   OF NORTH HAWTHORNE STREET AT EAST 3RD STREET
                   FROM R-3 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO R-4 SPECIAL ZONE,
                   SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 403 North Hawthorne
                Street, being on the northwest line of North
                Hawthorne Street at East 3rd Street.  Lots 65 and
                66, Pyott's and Stanley's Subdivision, as shown by
                plat of record in plat book 2, page 11, ROHC; being
                the property described in deed book 4046, page 852,
                ROHC.  Tax Map No. 146F-C-14 and 15.
               
               
         from R-3 Residential Zone to R-4 Special Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
              	   (1)	the property be used for R-3 or office purposes
              	   	only;
        
              	   (2)	no detached signs are permitted; and
        
              	   (3)	all parking shall be in the rear of the property.
              	  
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
